To start work on this R8, the team began by decontaminating it to prevent any impurities sticking to the surface of the panels of the car that would cause the Paint Protection Film to peel in the future. This was done by giving the car a full maintenance wash and a clay bar treatment, which removes dirt that is not visible to the naked eye.

This so that they could be directly applied to the body panels of this R8.
