New Brabus S 63 850 Biturbo Coupe

Brabus announces it will bring a tuned version of the Mercedes S 63 Coupe to Geneva, with 1,450Nm of torque and all-wheel drive.

There can’t have been many people complaining that the standard 576bhp Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe lacked power, but tuning firm Brabus clearly thought it did. Brabus is bringing an S 63 to next month’s Geneva Motor Show with a shedload more bhp, it’s called the 850 Biturbo Coupe.

The Brabus-tuned S-Class Coupe gets 838bhp, a fairly astonishing 1,450Nm of torque (limited to 1,150Nm in production cars for powertrain longevity), and can rocket to a 217mph electronically-limited maximum speed. Most prospective buyers will also be pleased to hear that it gets all-wheel drive to help put that power down, and the 4×4 system is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Those mind-blowing outputs allow the near two-tonne luxury four-seat coupe to shoot from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds, and 0-124mph in just 9.4s. The firm claims this makes it the world’s fastest all-wheel drive four-seat coupe. It’s all made possible by enlarged cylinder bores, bigger turbos and forged pistons to bring the V12 up to 6.0-litres in capacity.

A bespoke stainless steel sports exhaust with butterfly valves also features, alongside extensive styling tweaks in order to improve high-speed aerodynamics. These include larger front air intakes, a carbon-fibre rear spoiler and an enlarged rear diffuser, while forged 21-inch gold alloy wheels are thrown in as well.

The interior of the Brabus S 63 850 Biturbo Coupe gets traditional Brabus refinery including unique black leather trim and extensive copper detailing and trim additions. Despite the immense speed potential and size, the 850 Biturbo is EU6 emissions compliant and manages 27mpg on the official combined cycle.
