Tesla Vinyl Wrapping
The GVE Customs design team are experts at designing and fitting vehicle wraps; boasting years of experience in Vinyl Wrapping. During the Vinyl Wrapping process, we use large panels of vinyl which are ‘wrapped’ over the vehicle to quickly and affordably change the colour of a car, or even to apply branded designs to your Tesla. The world is your oyster!

INTERIOR TRIM WRAPPING
We can not only make your Tesla look fantastic on the outside, but we can also bring it to the inside with our interior car wraps. With a huge choice of Vinyl Wrapping finishes to install, you can really personalise the look to your interior trim to make it unique to you. What is Wrapping?
Wrapping is the best way to customise your Tesla – large sheets of vinyl are applied to the body panels of your Tesla to change its appearance.

What type of Vinyl do you use?
We only use the best suppliers on the market, including 3M, Avery and Dennison, Hexis and Oracle. These suppliers are world renowned and can supply gloss, satin, matt and chrome vinyls.
How long can a Wrap last?
If maintained properly, vinyl wrap can last up to 7 years, but have been known to last for much longer!
How do you maintain a Vinyl Wrap?
We will invite you for a vinyl wrap check up 1 month after application, to make sure the vinyl has not peeled. Avoid local and automated car washes! Have regular maintenance washes with a company who knows what they’re doing.
Can a Wrap be removed?
Yes! With the correct application of heat, vinyl can be stripped from your Tesla, leaving your paintwork in mint condition.
Can a Wrap damage the paintwork of my Tesla?
Only if applied incorrectly! As our technicians have decades of experience in the field, you can put your mind at rest knowing you’re sending your Tesla to the right place for customisation.
Do I need to inform the DVLA if I get my Tesla wrapped?
Colour wraps have previously been considered a temporary change of colour which has not needed to be registered. However the DVLA has made the following statement:
The register maintained by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) essentially exists to assist in revenue collection, road safety and law enforcement. The police and other enforcement agencies rely on the DVLA record for all vehicle-related investigations. It is therefore paramount that the information stored on the vehicle register is accurate and up-to-date.
By covering the entire vehicle in a coloured adhesive/vinyl wrap, it is the DVLA’s view that the colour change should be recorded. To notify a change of colour you should complete section 7 of the registration certificate V5C and return it to DVLA Swansea SA991BA. You should receive a replacement within two to four weeks.
It is important to note that partial colour wraps and printed graphic wraps are currently excluded from this policy change but if in doubt, we recommend that you contact the DVLA to confirm.
Can a Wrapped Tesla be Detailed or get a Ceramic Coating?
Yes, wrapped Teslas can be detailed and ceramic coated as normal. We’d recommend getting your car detailed by us, as we are specialists in maintaining and detailing wrapped Teslas.
Will a Vinyl Wrap protect my Tesla?
Yes, vinyl acts as a protective barrier. It will protect your Tesla from stone chips, scratches, scuffs, birdlime, harsh weather conditions and road debris.
Do you cut on the car?
No we don’t. We use snitties and knife-less tape to cut large sizes of vinyl to shape. We do sometimes use knives to cut out small intricate details, however the blade will never touch the paintwork of your car. Our technicians have decades of experience using specialist tools.
Have you Wrapped many Teslas?
Yes! Our trained technicians have worked on over 20 Teslas.
How long does it take to wrap a Tesla?
Depending on your intended design and choice of vinyl, wrapping your Tesla can take from 3 – 5 working days.
What finishes are achievable with Vinyl Wrapping?
Finishes can include gloss, satin, matte, chrome, satin-chrome, flip colours and more!
How do you make Decals?
Once you’re happy with the design, we’ll use our state of the art plotting machines to cut the vinyl to shape. We’ll then apply the vinyl to your Tesla using transfer paper.
