Aston Martin to forge technical partnerships with consulting service
Aston Martin has launched a new consulting arm that will see it offer services in design, engineering and manufacturing to technical partners.
The division is called Aston Martin Consulting, and is headed by managing director Bradley Yorke-Biggs at the carmaker’s Gaydon headquarters. Its creation will see Aston Martin expand the number of partnerships it forges and enable a more structured approach to consulting.
Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said of the announcement: “We are often asked to collaborate on projects with other companies. My belief is that we can expand the provision of our expertise and experience even further.”
Aston Martin recently collaborated with Sir Norman Foster’s company, Foster + Partners, passing on technical expertise to help design the London Bus of the future. It also helped produce the AM37 powerboat in conjunction with Quintessence Yachts.
Yorke-Biggs added: “We are very excited to be able to extend the reach of the business to include the provision of services across different sectors; both automotive and beyond. We have an incredibly talented and experienced team within Aston Martin and we look forward to expanding our horizons as we work with new clients on interesting new projects.”
