ClearPlex Windscreen Protection – The GVE Detailing team’s next challenge was to apply windscreen protection to an amazing Lamborghini Huracan Performante.

The protective layer is made by a company called ClearPlex. It is applied in a similar way to Paint Protection Film, with a specially formulated solution and a range of squeegee tools. It is also removable and comes with an 18 month warranty against yellowing, peeling, bubbling and cracking.

ClearPlex will protect the windscreen of this Lamborghini from strong impacts and scratches. It is also polarised meaning it reduces glare and improves overall visibility, making your driving experience safer. UV stabilisers in the film reduce heat and prolong the life of the car’s interior by protecting it from fading.

It also protects the vehicle and occupants by absorbing the impact of road hazards and keeping the glass and structural integrity intact, providing peace of mind.

To apply ClearPlex Windscreen Protection to your car, the GVE Detailing team carry out this process:

1. Decontaminate your windscreen to remove any dirt and impurities that may cause the film to peel.

2. Cut the film to shape to cover your entire windscreen.

3. Install the film with a solution and specialist squeegee tools, similar to Paint Protection Film.

4. Quality check the finish for imperfections to ensure that the installation has been successful.
