It's the £2m, 760bhp Lamborghini Centenario Roadster
Pebble Beach has turned up another pricey supercar convertible in the shape of this, the Lamborghini Centenario Roadster.
It’s somewhat pricier than the Aston Zagato Volante – at 2million euros plus tax (so £2m, basically) – but at least it’s rarer, with a mere 20 being built. But if you’re one of the wannabe buyers left unsated by the Centenario coupe’s 40-strong run, then stop scurrying for your wallet: all of these have been sold, too.
Over to Lambo boss Stefano Domenicali: “Centenario Roadster embraces the cutting edge characteristics of its coupe sibling and embraces the freedom of a true open-top super sports car for a pure drive experience.”
The spec is as per the coupe. A 760bhp naturally aspirated V12 provides lots of lovely, old-school, high-rev power, while four-wheel-drive and four-wheel-steering systems ensure it’s all deployed in a clever, bang up to date manner.
There’s also carbon aplenty – including for the whole monocoque – as well as some intensely clever aerodynamics and Lambo’s embracing of connectivity, with snazzy stuff like CarPlay, web radio and telemetry systems all on board.
We reckon it looks a bit nicer than the hard-top, too, though that may just be its classily subtle colour scheme we’re enjoying.
