McLaren 650S Purple Wrap

McLaren 650S Purple Wrap – After selling a gloss black McLaren 650S from our amazing range of stock to this customer, he decided to have the car wrapped in a very special colour to make it stand out.

First, the McLaren was washed using car shampoo and then had a further decontamination process with clay bar. This was done to remove any dirt or impurities that would cause vinyl to lift or peel in the future.

Next, the car was taken to the GVE Bodyshop, where the team painted the original red callipers vibrant lime green.

Then, the GVE Customs team began the wrapping process. The main panels of the car were wrapped in Purple Metallic Gloss, whereas the wing mirrors were wrapped in satin black and other components were wrapped in gloss black.

We use the best vinyl on the market – from Avery Dennison. The film is strong and durable and has air channels which allow it to be applied easily and make removing excess air very easy. This reduces the likelihood of the vinyl bubbling during and after application.

Finally, the GVE Customs team added some finishing touches. These included lime green pinstripes on the exterior of the car and Purple and Lime green McLaren decals with the customer’s initials on the door shuts.

These final details were designed on a specialist software and cut using a state of the art plotting machine. This allowed the team to apply the designs to the car very easily.
