Tesla Model S Correction Detail, PPF & Hydrophobic Coating – Our customer wanted to have the paintwork of his Tesla revived and protected.

The GVE Detailing team began this process by carrying out a decontamination wash and a clay bar treatment to remove any dirt and impurities from the surface of the car.

Next, they machine polished the panels to remove any scratches and swirl marks. This also enhanced the shine of the gloss grey paintwork.

PPF patterns were then designed on a specialist software and cut using a state of the art plotting tool. This allowed the team to apply the patterns to the body panels of the Model S without the need for knives, which reduced the likelihood of damage that can be caused to the car during the installation process.

At GVE, we use XPEL Ultimate Paint Protection Film. It is self healing and comes with a 10 year warranty against yellowing and peeling.

The film will protect this Tesla from stone chips, scratches, scuffs, harsh weather conditions and birdlime, meaning our customer can drive the car with complete peace of mind.

Finally, a Gtechniq ceramic coating, Crystal Serum Ultra, was applied over the PPF for an added layer of protection against scratches and swirl marks. It was also applied to the wheels and callipers.

The coating is hydrophobic, meaning it will prevent water marks being left on the car and will create a beading effect when water is poured over it.

Once the Model S had it’s quality control check, it was delivered back to our customer via our enclosed vehicle transportation service.
