Transforming John Terry’s 2020 Mercedes G63 AMG – Our new client and Ex-Premier League football player John Terry trusted the GVE team to source a brand new G63 AMG and sell one of his previous cars on his behalf. Our sales and purchasing team were able to do this with no issue.

John wanted to fully transform the look of the car. After decontaminating the body panels, finished in gloss grey, our customs team applied a satin black vinyl from Avery Dennison. This gave the car a mean stealth look.

Then our detailing team applied XPEL ULTIMATE Satin Paint Protection Film on top of the vinyl wrap. This will protect the car from stone chips, scratches, scuffs, birdlime, harsh weather conditions and swirl marks. The film has a 10 year warranty against yellowing and peeling and is also self healing.

Very few customers will ask for a wrap to be applied before PPF, as this can be quite expensive. However, if you want to get the best satin finish, a satin vinyl will hide all visible gloss elements, as opposed to a satin paint protection film.

The window’s of this stunning 2020 Mercedes G63 AMG were then tinted to add to the stealth look of the car.

The GVE customs team then created a ‘Rolls Royce effect’ star headlining. This was done by removing the headlining and drilling several holes individually. Then optical fibres were pushed through the holes and trimmed to sit flush with the surface of the headlining. The fibres were then tied together and fed to a power supply followed by re-fitting the headlining to the car. The colour of the lights and the display pattern can also be changed with a remote control.
